What Ten Four is and how it works

Ten Four is a phone-first office assistant for trade businesses. You get a dedicated business number; your customers call or text it like any other number, and an AI assistant answers for you — in seconds, any hour. It books jobs, answers routine questions at your real prices, drafts invoices, and flags anything that needs your judgment.
It's a service, not another app to run. Your customers never download anything — they just text and call. You approve the things that matter (like sending an invoice) from the Ten Four app or straight from your own phone by replying YES.
The two assistants
- The receptionist answers your customers. Every call and text on your business number, booked jobs, quotes from the rates you set, and a heads-up to you when something needs a human.
- The assistant works for you. Text it like a coworker — "bill Mike $300 for the faucet" drafts an invoice for your approval; "what's my day look like" reads back your queue.
What happens to a new customer call
- A customer calls or texts your Ten Four number.
- The assistant answers, figures out what they need, and books the job — date, address, and details.
- The job lands in your queue and on your calendar, and you get a notification.
- After the work, an invoice is drafted for your approval and sent by text with a payment link.
